Bowhead seeks a Software Engineer to join our team in supporting the upcoming Navy contract in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to :

  • Provide software development, integration, modification, production and maintenance of signal processing models.
  • Work closely with software engineers to develop and test rapid prototype systems in a rapid prototyping environment.
  • Support and develop test procedures to test system functionality and generate software troubleshoot reports.
  • Prepare documentation and support configuration management guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years with a Master’s degree or fourteen (14) years with a Bachelor’s degree of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs, which may include database maintenance within an application area.
  • Experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS / DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers with the ability to use MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in the use of online government property databases is preferred.

    • Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically.

    • Security Clearance Requirements

    Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret / SCI level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret / SCI clearance at this location.
