Overview
Mid-Level Social Media Manager :
Bowhead is seeking a Mid-Level Social Media Manager for an upcoming effort located at the Navy Yard in Washington, DC. The Mid-Level Social Media Manager will Develop, plan and execute social media content and campaigns aligned to Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) messaging priorities and objectives.
Responsibilities
Curates all relevant visual and audio / video media and news products, creates and retains statistics / measures of effectiveness for maximum engagement to a wide range of audiences; including Members of Congress, Department of Defense (DOD), industry stakeholders, general public as wells as military and civilian personnel within the NAVSEA enterprise.
Acts as the primary manager and content creator for the command’s social media sites (currently Facebook, Linkedin and Instagram).
Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. Incumbent employees are encouraged to respond. No solicitations or third-party applications will be accepted.
Qualifications
Minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing social media platforms.
Bachelor of Arts / Science degree in English or Communications or related field.
Knowledge of NAVSEA, Congress, the Navy and Department of Defense.
Target salary is $85,000 / year to $140,000 / year commensurate with experience.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
