Position Summary
A) To build an innovative, collaborative, and well-funded research program to advance oral, dental and craniofacial research; B) To develop and teach graduate level courses in MS, PhD programs, C) to mentor MS and PhD trainees.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities for Research and Service
1. Develop and maintain an externally funded, and independent research program.
2. Collaborate with faculty to build successful collaborative research teams within the college and across campus.
3. Prolific grant writing and research publication.
4. Participate in departmental and college committees.
5. Participate in collegiate faculty meetings as well as departmental meetings, and other divisional meetings and departmental conferences on a regular basis
6. Participate in continuing education programs in the College and at other locations as deemed appropriate.
7. Participate in public service activities.
Duties and Responsibilities for Teaching/Education
1. Assist with course development and assessment tools.
2. Teach in a variety of seminars and conferences in the department.
3. Provide creative leadership in further development of undergraduate and graduate programming including course directorship.
4. Advise and direct undergraduate, graduate students, residents, and postdoctoral research trainees, includes mentoring research thesis. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
