Position Summary
To support and promote excellence in the college of Dentistry, Department of Restorative Dentistry and the Advanced Prosthodontics Program.Supports the Director to ensure students receive appropriate didactic background and clinical experience(1) for CODA compliance, (2) to successfully
complete the Program, and (3) to successfully complete the American Board of Prosthodontics Examination.
Receives guidance from and collaborates with Program Director and Department Head for Program activities; collaborates with the Prosthodontics Clinic
Director and the Prosthodontics Program Director(s) to facilitate program and clinic operation.
In conjunction with the director, documents program activities; performs outcomes assessment for program improvement based on established goals and
objectives.
Supports student recruitment and selection.
Assists the Director in the monitoring and coordination of the requisite Advanced Prosthodontics Program didactic curriculum plan, assists with the
coordination of program clinical activities to ensure a broad range of prosthodontics experiences, and assists in the direct clinical supervision for Advanced
Prosthodontics patients.
Coordinates interdisciplinary clinical and didactic activities with faculty, staff and students within the program and with other advanced education
programs within the College of Dentistry.
Supports, coordinates and monitors student progress in didactic and clinical areas and ensures an adequate number and variety of patients and ensures
that there is sufficient clinical faculty supervision.
Assists the Director in conducting periodic faculty and staff meetings and provides feedback in the assessment of students and faculty.
Monitors clinical equipment and supply needs.
Ensures students are actively engaged in research and serves as mentor for student in the specialty certificate and Master's Degree programs.
Teach and participate in a variety of seminars and conferences in the department.
Advise, mentor and direct post-graduate students.
Clinical responsibilities in the post-graduate educational program.
Participate in college/department faculty meetings and committees.
Collaborate with faculty to establish strong and positive post-graduate learning environment.
