Position Summary
Th Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for a candidate to assist in gathering and formatting data to be submitted in compliance with outside agencies' regulations. Must also makes recommendations for the development and implementation of procedures and methods for the completion of third-party reporting and coordinates the completion of information necessary for reporting. Through advanced knowledge and experience in health care reimbursement, the employee will be responsible for developing complex financial and statistical models for reimbursement enhancement and ensuring compliance with all Medicare and other agency reporting and requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
using knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid government regulations to complete statistical and financial modeling and producing cost reports to ensure all possible reimbursement enhancements or opportunities are captured
completes an analysis of new developments and/or proposals in the reimbursement field to determine the financial impact on the health care facility
assists management in the analysis and development of bad debt projections, using financial modeling for budget forecasting
recommends improvements and modifications to departmental operating procedures to maximize operating efficiency and reimbursement;
Assist with working denial queues related to billing issues
performs other related duties as assigned
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
