Physiology and Biophysics
Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in an established laboratory in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics at University of Illinois at Chicago. The research in the laboratory is centered on understanding how metabolic homeostasis is maintained at the physiological level and defining the pathological alterations in metabolic diseases, including obesity, diabetes, and inflammation.
We are interested in defining molecular mechanisms by which hormonal and nutritional cues orchestrate metabolic physiology across tissues. A combination of cutting-edge tools will be employed, including biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, mouse genetics, genomics, metabolomics, proteomics, and endocrinology.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and other research personnel to meet research objectives.
Perform Laboratory experiments.
Collect, analyze, and interpret data.
Maintain lab notebook and e-files with recorded data.
Publish original scientific research in peer-review journals.
Present research findings at national/international scientific conferences.
Other research lab related duties as assigned.
