Position Summary
This position is a contributor to developing specific research project requirements and is responsible for the recruitment and retention of project participants, as well as support of the implementation of projects that aim to improve health equity for children with developmental delays and disabilities from marginalized communities. Perform complex study and data collection methods.Under direction of the Principal Investigator and the senior research specialist (management team), support the development, implementation and maintenance of the methodologies and operating structure of multiple, multi-year research project involving the improvement of health equity for children with developmental delays and disabilities from marginalized communities.
Assist the management team in the day-to-day operations of research activities involving a variety of aspects of the grant, including IRB protocols associated with the recruitment and retention of participants and the providers associated with the project as well as the data collection methodologies and data management.
Monitor detailed reports in REDCap and Power BI daily, as to the progress of the project, including information involving research data, and communication activities in accordance with the aims of the study. Make recommendations for adjustments to any of the primary functional areas of the project, when required, to ensure the successful completion of the research agenda by communicating with patient navigators and research staff. Identify and discuss inconsistencies in the data with the management team.
Monitor EPIC for research queries and oversee communication with providers and other study stakeholders through EPIC.
Prepare data for dissemination and further sharing as to the results of the study and assist in project findings by participating in the development and writing of detailed manuscripts and potential presentation at conferences.
Supervise volunteer staff and hourly staff. Provide constructive feedback on opportunities for improvement and monitor fidelity of project assessments and interventions.
Write IRB protocols associated with the studies, and support IRB amendment submissions. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
