The Deputy Director of Operations is responsible for the assisting the Director of Operations with management of both technical and non-technical staff in the assigned division and/or unit.

The Deputy Director of Operations is responsible for the assisting the Director of Operations with management of both technical and non-technical staff in the assigned division and/or unit.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Director by organizing projects and programs within the Program Management Organization (PMO), assigning direct and indirect tasking; managing the team(s) workloads, and selecting individuals most qualified for specific efforts.
- Resolving any issues escalated through Program Managers and is responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of assigned employees.
- Contributing to and implementing approved strategic plans.
- Developing, improving, and implementing PMO processes.
- Participating with proposal response development, team coordination, and response quality/verification/validation.
- Perform Program Management duties during contract startup and/or for high visibility Programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor’s degree and more than fifteen (15 ) years of professional management experience is required. PMP certification highly desired.
- At least ten years of project, and/or program management experience is required.
- Must have past experience with largescale DoD Information Technology acquisition programs. Experience with PEO Digital and MARCORSYSCOM programs is preferred, Any experience with FFP, T&M, and CR contract types is highly desired.
- Demonstrated, direct, current and relevant experience with the Marine Corps technical, contractual, and/or leadership organizations is highly desired.
- Must have exceptional communication, both written and verbal skills and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
