SYSTEMS / VTC ENGINEER | TIER III (MIELS):
Bowhead is seeking Systems / VTC Engineers to support a customer in Stafford, VA. Support for the contract will consist of program management; logistics; asset management; engineering; customer service; research and development of new capabilities; test and evaluation; manpower, training, and personnel; new equipment fielding and training; financial management; information assurance; cybersecurity; and 24X7 enterprise services operations and sustainment.

Responsibilities
- Voice over IP (VoIP) systems
- Video conferencing systems
- Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) solutions
- Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking
- Voice and video network architecture
- Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) management
- Security and compliance for unified communications systems
- Bachelor’s degree, or 10 years’ of practical experience in voice and video management
- Seven (7 ) years’ experience in unified communications, with a focus on voice and video systems.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols, including SIP, H.323, and MGCP.
- Experience with video conferencing systems, including Cisco TelePresence and Ploycom RealPresence.
- Familiarity with unified communications platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Microsoft Skype for Business.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with QoS and QoE management tools, including Cisco QoS and NetIQ.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- CCNP Voice or CCIE Voice certification.
- CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration certification.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) in Skype for Business.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching.
- Preferred: 10 years’ experience in Video Audio engineering environment management.
- Preferred: DoD 8570 / 8140 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required.
- Preferred: Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified.
- Preferred: Cloud certified.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
