Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, and individuals with special needs, while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and the ability to manage behavior effectively while on the road.
Duties
- Operate bus on-demand schedule ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Maintain a safe driving record while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Assist passengers in boarding and alighting from the bus, providing support as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding passenger needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus interior.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a WyDot certification.
- Experience in bus driving helpful but not required.
- Some mechanical knowledge helpful but not required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.
- Multilingual abilities a plus but not required.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs is advantageous.
- Ability to manage behavior effectively in a group setting while ensuring safety for all passengers.
