Job Summary
Candidates must be prepared to serve as the pharmacist-in-charge and assist in creating a new independent community pharmacy that is currently under construction and targeted to open in the summer of 2025. Initial responsibilities will include preparing the pharmacy to open on schedule and hiring and training additional pharmacy staff. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the pharmacy; ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from newborns to the elderly; directs and controls the purchase and inventory maintenance of pharmaceuticals and related substances and supplies; participates in the department’s planning, revenue analysis, budgeting, education, and human resources activities.
- Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Utah.
- Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education, experience, or subsequent training.
- Management training, pharmacist-in-charge, or equivalent managerial experience is preferred.
