Phlebotomist Vernal Lab

Job Description:

This position is a PRN or as needed and is not a benefited position.

The job duties of a phlebotomist are as follows:

• Adheres to Infection Control guidelines
• Assists in maintaining and stocking phlebotomy supply inventories
• Performs heel stick and toe stick procedures
• Performs some dipstick procedures as needed
• Clerical responsibilities include:
• Utilizes the computer for various tasks
• Engages in public relations
• Performs documentation, filing, etc. duties

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• A phlebotomy certificate is required, with experience of 6 months to 1 year preferred.
• Must have computer skills and excellent communication skills.
• A medical background is preferred.
