Position Title: Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA)

Location: Vernal, Utah

• remote work not available

The primary purpose of this position is to assist QC /QA Department in quality related activities. This position will operate in accordance with the QA Manual and all regulatory requirements. This position will follow company processes and procedures and ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's).

*This position is generally 5am-3:30pm Monday through Thursday. * Occasional overtime may be required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Verify all procedures are being followed according to company guidelines.

· Take samples of finished products: raw herbs, liquid and packaging components.

· Verify that end of day tasks are completed according to company policy and cGMP’s.

· Verify bottle to box ratio, measurements going into blends, fill lines in bottling, labels, pallet counts depending on assigned work station.

· Complete all required paperwork accurately, legibly, and timely – double check all paperwork. Must have knowledge of all company control documents.

· Attention to detail is vital.

· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as assigned, if primary responsibilities are complete.

· Ability to learn processes, follow instructions, and exchange accurate information.

· Maintain an orderly and clean work environment per cGMP practices and internal expectations.

· Must be able to communicate with co-workers and management in a professional manner.

· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.

· Follow and ensure that all safety rules, regulatory requirements, and company processes and procedures are adhered to.

· Report to assigned workstation and be ready to work at the start of the scheduled shift. Good attendance is an essential part of the job.

Qualifications:

· Education: GED or High School Diploma.

· Experience: QA/QC experience preferred, but not required. Knowledge of FDA, USDA, Organic, and Kosher guidelines are a plus.

· Specific Skills: Must have computer and organizational skills.

· Characteristics: Positive attitude and friendly demeanor.

· Schedule: Generally, Monday through Thursday; 10-hour shift; 5am to 3:30pm

· License/Cert: Food Handlers Permit (company provided)

Physical:

· Most work is completed in a manufacturing environment.

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position, walk, sit, twist, reach or stand for extended periods.

· Dress code is in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's).

· Must be able to detect, observe and recognize safety hazards.
