This role focuses on driving technical execution in machine learning while influencing strategic direction. You will lead AI innovation efforts for UiPath’s automation platform, ensuring our machine learning models (e.g. document extraction, information retrieval, OCR, agentic reasoning) are cutting-edge and aligned with business needs. As a leader, you’ll bridge deep technical work with high-level product strategy to deliver AI-driven automation solutions that have significant impact on our customers and the future of intelligent automation.

What you'll do at UiPath:
- Oversee the data engine and data labeling processes, providing high-quality datasets for model training and evaluation.
- Drive the development and refinement of core ML models in areas such as document extraction, retrieval, OCR, and agentic reasoning, pushing the boundaries of AI capabilities in our platform.
- Manage end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring robust dataset versioning, annotation quality, and incorporation of active learning methodologies to continuously improve model performance.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, and other stakeholders to align ML innovations with customer needs and business objectives.
- Establish and enforce best practices for ML development, including processes for dataset management, model evaluation, and rapid iteration on model improvements.
- Champion a culture of execution excellence, ensuring that projects move forward efficiently from concept through launch, while maintaining high technical standards.
- 10 years of experience in product management (or related roles) with a significant focus on AI/ML-driven products and technologies.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end machine learning pipelines, including data collection/annotation, model training, evaluation, and deployment in production.
- Strong understanding of data annotation techniques, labeling platforms, and ML-driven automation strategies.
- Expertise in ML model development and infrastructure – able to work closely with engineers on topics like data engineering, model optimization, and cloud deployment.
- Proven ability to bridge technical execution with strategic decision-making, translating complex ML capabilities into customer-facing product features.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex ML concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive cross-functional teams toward success.
- Bonus: Familiarity with process automation, agents, and a passion for applying AI to automate business processes at scale.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $208,725 and $275,138. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
