The Principal is the instructional leader at the elementary school responsible for leading and developing a dynamic faculty who will lead our students to succeed. The Principal will set a powerful vision for student achievement and will strategically implement the school’s mission through effective leadership and management of all stakeholders including faculty, staff, students, parents, and the community. The principal is responsible for managing and overseeing all functions of the instructional program, school environment, and the operational and fiscal health of the school. The principal establishes and sets priorities so that the staff functions as a highly effective team. The principal is an active member of the UUSD Leadership team Located in northern California Wine Country, the Ukiah Unified School District serves approximately 6,000 students, from preschoolers through adults. The district includes six elementary schools, two middle schools, and a comprehensive high school. In addition, our district offers an early education preschool, independent learning opportunities for elementary and high school students, an alternative education high school, and an adult learning center. Located in Mendocino County, Ukiah has countless wineries, is a short drive to the coast, and is surrounded by redwood forests.
