CNC Saw Operator

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with experience with metal working join our team. This is a hands-on role that programs, operates, and maintains our CNC saw. The role also includes other UKM manufacturing activities such as sandblasting, part preparation, and various activities to support painting and/or welding preparation. UKM is a leading manufacturer in the rail transit industry and manufactures parts and assemblies per customer or UKM designs. Visit us at ukmco.com.

Essential Job Functions include:

· Saw operation

· Manual labor activities with attention to detail using various pieces of manufacturing equipment.

· Able to read and interpret customer drawings

· Able to manage work flow and product quality

Additional Responsibilities:

· Punctuality and reliability on the job

· Some limited PM on the equipment and local work space

· Willing to back-up and support other machining operations

· Proficient in caliper usage.

· Able to maintain a clean and safe work station

Education and Experience

· Prior metal working and machining experience. Pay scale is based upon experience and proficiency level

· Able to prepare a workstation for a particular; tools, fixtures, set-up

· Can work and be productive with limited supervision and direction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
