Electrician (FMSC-2025-22312)
Bowhead seeks an Electrician to join our team in Dahlgren, VA in support of our NSWC Dahlgren Facilities Maintenance Support contract. The Electrician is responsible for general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings. They require advanced skills and knowledge in trades such as electrical work and will keep the Supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
Responsibilities
The Electrician can be a Licensed Electrician or Journeyman with residential or commercial electrical work experience and will work under close supervision, receiving technical guidance from the supervisor or higher-level technician. Work is checked frequently for accuracy.

Job duties to include but are not limited too
- Light panel work, adding and removing receptacles, outlets, verifying proper load on circuits;
- remove, dispose of light fixtures and install new lighting fixtures.
- Experience providing estimates on electrical material cost and time to complete projects.
- Apply basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in residential and commercial environments.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Emergency Management/Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) experience, preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
