Ammunition & Explosives Logistics Specialist
Bowhead is seeking a skilled, full-time Ammunition & Explosives Logistics Specialist to support Naval Amphibious Base (NAB), Coronado, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily recommendations for safe stowage of munitions and proper security of stowed munitions.
- Prepare documentation for ammunition and ordnance shipments and inform the military of best practices when packaging munitions and demolition shipments.
- View Unit Non-Combat Expenditure Allowance (NCEA) allowances daily and provide recommendations on allocating ammunition and explosives between units/detachments to support missions and training.
- Monitor ammunition and explosives stock levels daily and inform COR of current stock levels, providing recommendations for ordering necessary ordnances.
- Accompany military personnel to offsite locations to inventory ordnance, verifying counts using OIS Ordnance Information System data.
- Realign ammunitions and explosives between commands via DD1348 and make preparations for disposal by processing DD1348 for reshipment or issue to another command.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Must have a High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certified Ammunition Supply Administration (CIN: A-041-0040, NEC: 814A).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Ordnance Information Retail and Wholesale.
- Excellent Logistics management and customer service skills.
- Preferred ED and Ammunition & Explosives Logistics experience.
