Overview

Stock Clerk (EAGLE 2025-22708):

Bowhead seeks a Stock Clerk to support its recently awarded Eagle contract in Aberdeen, MD. The Maintenance Division Stock Clerk performs a combination of clerical and physical tasks to support departmental operations. Typical duties include: receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools. The Stock Clerk sorts or weighs articles to verify receipt and stores them in bins or shelves by identifying information.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include

• Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, supplies, merchandise, or tools.
• Compiles stock records of items in the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
• Sorts or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.
• Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
• Stores articles in bins, on the floor on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size, or type of material.
• Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
• Prepares periodic special or perpetual inventory of stock.
• Requisition articles to fill incoming orders.
• Compiles reports on the use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
• Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.
• Distributes stock among production workers.
• Keeps records of material issued.
• Makes adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
• Cuts stock to site to fill order.
  
  

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required in addition to at least two (2 ) years of logistical experience stocking, sorting, and issuing equipment or supplies.
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Lift/carry/push/slide up to 25 pounds routinely.
• Bend, squat, stoop, crouch, and lean.
• Sit for long periods of time operating a computer keyboard.
• Repeat the same movements.
• Exposure to excessive noise.
  
  

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
