This position is HYBRID and requires individuals to be on-site 3 days a week

The successful candidate has an opportunity to contribute to a world-class battery lab from the launch stage all the way to the full operation.
University Degree: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, demonstrating a solid foundation in engineering principles relevant to the position.

Responsibilities
As we expand our global presence, we're seeking a Technical Engineer to execute various Lithium-Ion Battery’s cell, module, and pack DV/PV testing to support our EV transportation projects. The successful candidate has an opportunity to contribute to a world-class battery lab from the launch stage all the way to the full operation.
- Define project scope, develop investigation plans, and establish project specifications by analyzing client input, data, and product details.
- Prepare quotes for the battery testing projects in collaborate with the sales team to ensure competitive pricing for our customers.
- Draft RFQ for external testing partner laboratories when in-house capacity is at maximum.
- Conduct or oversee tests at client sites, often requiring travel.
- Initiate client communication to promote services, address technical issues, and negotiate project terms.
- Develop and implement test programs, ensuring compliance with UL requirements.
- Coordinate laboratory activities, manage project administration, and prepare reports for clients.
- Represent UL at industry events and may provide leadership and training to staff.
- Adhere to Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and security practices.
University Degree: Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, demonstrating a solid foundation in engineering principles relevant to the position.
- Expertise with Lithium-Ion Batteries: Strong understanding of lithium-ion batteries, including performance, electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing methodologies, and certification processes within the battery industry.
- DVP&R/PVP&R Test Plans: Proven experience in executing DV and PV test plans specifically tailored to the battery industry. This includes defining test objectives, methods, acceptance criteria, and reporting on results to ensure product compliance and reliability.
- Conformity Standards: Familiarity with relevant conformity assessment standards and regulations applicable to the field, ensuring adherence to industry-specific requirements and best practices.
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to apply project management principles and handle multiple projects simultaneously, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and client communication within the engineering context.
- Experience in preparing and managing projects quotes/RFQ is a plus.
- Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000-135,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
