In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and conducting tests on refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate has a background in HVAC systems, refrigeration testing, or trade school HVAC training. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate HVAC and refrigeration testing equipment according to defined procedures.
- Assemble, modify, and troubleshoot test setups to meet testing specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and operational instructions.
- Conduct performance tests, analyze results, and ensure accuracy in documentation.
- Record test data and generate detailed reports, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Work closely with engineers to adapt test setups and improve methodologies.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of lab equipment.
- Assist in the development of new test methods and provide feedback for process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure proper test execution.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols in all lab activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school training in HVAC is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration testing, or a related field.
- Experience with testing and troubleshooting HVAC or refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Universal EPA Refrigerant Certification (Type Universal EPA) is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in test execution and data recording.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently while following defined test protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to integrate automation tools in testing procedures.
- Interest in continuous improvement and problem-solving within a laboratory setting.
- Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $40,000 and $56,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
