The Director, Human Resources leads and coordinates the global HR activities including the effective implementation of human resources (HR) initiatives, policies, and procedures. This individual also provides oversight of third-party administrators to ensure global consistency and compliance and coordinates global HR communications. The HR Director efficiently manages multiple projects and regions simultaneously, works collaboratively with others as a team to execute strategic plans and offers thoughtful solutions and alternatives.
The HRD must be able to effectively communicate with leadership as well as the manufacturing workforce. The HRD will have the can-do attitude of jumping in and assisting on the plant floor if needed. This role touches every facet of human resources such as: payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, compensation analysis, 401k oversight and other compliance projects. This role reports to the CEO and will hire an HR coordinator role.

- Develop and execute comprehensive people strategies, aligning with the organization's business objectives.
- Provide thought leadership in organizational development, culture transformation, and talent management.
- Partner with senior leaders to drive change initiatives and improve business outcomes through people strategies.
- Lead workforce planning efforts, ensuring the team has the skills and capacity to meet current and future demands.
- Create and foster an environment of associate engagement, recognition, and positive company culture.
- Working with leadership cross-functionally to deeply understand the business and proactively identify trends and challenges.
- Serves as HR Business partner to company leaders.
- Directs and monitors third-party administrators and vendor partners to manage the relationships, ensure global consistency in policies and procedures, and ensure transactional accuracy.
- Manages global HR communications.
- Ensures compliance with all employment and labor regulations for all U.S. and international locations.
- Generates reports and metrics to inform decisions and drive organizational people strategies.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience leading HR function in a manufacturing environment, medical device optional.
- Experience in leadership and developing direct reports.
- Knowledgeable and comfortable working in a start-up organization.
- Advance knowledge Microsoft Office Suite products especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge and experience working in Paylocity HRIS.
- Solid business acumen, basic knowledge of business finance principles, and the ability to influence.
- Ability to communicate clearly and timely (verbal and written) internally and externally and with different audiences.
- Handle sensitive information with integrity, gains trust and is able to build strong relationships and credibility with all workforce team members.
- Proven collaboration skills and ability to achieve consensus.
- Teamwork skills are favorable and the ability to work independently.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience as an HRBP or HR leader in a manufacturing environment with experience in change management and building a positive workplace culture.
- Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience including coaching and development of direct reports and front and executive leadership.
- Proven experience advising and proving counsel to business leaders.
- Proficiency in Paylocity HRIS and data analytics.
- Strong competence within the HR function including employee relations and communications.
- Must be comfortable in c-suite and manufacturing environment with multiple shifts.
