THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE 

Our Business Resource Groups (BRG) & Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Experience Specialist, will play a pivotal role in driving our BRG strategy forward. This role will assist in developing and executing a multi-year BRG strategy that aligns with Ulta Beauty’s business objectives and social impact goals. Responsibilities will include establishing a robust BRG governance model, fostering, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and collaborating with departments such as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Communications to deliver impactful BRG programs and initiatives. Additionally, the BRG & DE&I Experience Specialist will manage and execute signature BRG programs and events, create dynamic DEI training materials to support our diversity and inclusion roadmap, and analyze data from DEI and BRG engagement surveys to provide actionable insights and measure the effectiveness of our initiatives. This impactful work will ensure that our DEI commitments are deeply embedded in our organizational culture and aligned with our brand purpose.

Key Responsibilities

Support BRG Strategy Implementation:

• Assist in developing and executing a multi-year BRG strategy aligned with Ulta Beauty’s business strategy, People Success goals, and corporate social impact initiatives.
• Help establish a BRG governance and intersectional collaboration model to enable associate success and drive business priorities.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure DEI efforts are embedded in the organizational culture and align with the brand’s purpose.
• Collaborate with BRG leadership, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Communications, and HR Business Partners to develop and deliver BRG programs and initiatives.

Program and Event Management:

• Assist in planning and executing BRG signature programs and events; track and measure milestones; manage key stakeholders; and execute communication plans.
• Facilitate regular BRG leader meetings and listening tours to maintain strong connections with BRG leaders and communities.

Training and Development:

• Create and develop engaging training materials to support the diversity and inclusion roadmap and learning journey, including micro-learnings and Key Moment in Time educational materials.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance DEI awareness and competencies among associates.

Metrics and Reporting:

• Manage DEI demographic surveys and BRG engagement surveys, analyze data, and prepare executive summaries and insights.
• Develop metrics to measure the impact of BRG initiatives, maintain financial records, and conduct post-program evaluations.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic thought partnership and advisory support to BRG leaders, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices in DEI and BRG management to inform strategy and program development.
• Support internal and external communication efforts to promote DEI initiatives and BRG achievements.
• Participate in DEI team meetings and contribute to the overall DEI strategy and initiatives at Ulta Beauty.

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Anthropology, Sociology, African American Studies, Gender Studies, Psychology, History, Political Science, Communication, or other liberal arts disciplines.

Experience:

• Genuine interest or experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
• Project and program management experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively partner with individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels.
• Aptitude for data analysis and metrics to drive compelling stories and insights.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to plan, identify, coordinate, and track critical activities, milestones, and deliverables with keen attention to important details.
• Demonstrated commitment and passion for advancing DEI.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Ability to facilitate training sessions and workshops effectively.
• Experience in creating engaging and educational training materials.
