THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE 

 

As Manager of Credit Card, you will serve as a critical leader on a team focused on developing a best-in-class program, a holistic marketing and engagement plan to drive program growth. This individual is responsible for developing the strategy associated with acquiring new credit card members across retail and online channels.  This individual is responsible for aligning with our external partners, Bread Financial, on acquisition plans and is responsible for delivering YOY new credit card member growth. You will support the ongoing growth of the Ulta Beauty Rewards Credit Card program. In partnership with our internal and external partners and senior leadership, you will be responsible for applying overarching business and brand needs into addressable marketing opportunities across channels. You will manage and drive execution of key strategies and marketing efforts focused on building card engagement, increasing share of wallet, increase guest loyalty and boost company earnings.

 

The ideal candidate must have experience in connecting the expertise of separate, but cross-functional and interdependent teams and knowing how to apply that expertise to achieve common goals successfully.

 

You have a transformative mindset and can identify gaps within card engagement strategies and plans, designing and executing creative solutions through the use of data and insights.

 

PLANNING & EXECUTION

  • Develop holistic strategies to acquire new credit card members in the store channel and online. Work externally to gain alignment with Bread Financial, our credit card provider, on the proposed acquisition plans.
  • Plan and execute the marketing strategy to drive card engagement, sales, and profitability goals
  • Drive plan to execution with a holistic perspective to reach business goals
  • Manage the day-to-day plan execution and performance with internal team, bank partners, and external vendors
  • Accountable for executing a marketing strategy consisting of digital marketing and print campaigns from inception through execution to achieve key business growth metrics
  • Manage multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Manage program within budget, finding efficiencies and reaching forecasted ROI on marketing efforts
  • Develop both acquisition and card engagement marketing plan to optimize Ulta Beauty’s credit card program growth
  • Effectively manage and grow program through vendor partnerships and through building internal relationships
  • Track, and analyze key performance metrics, and make necessary changes or recommendations to drive improvements in ROI and profitability

COLLABORATION

  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to drive program growth and brand awareness
  • Work optimally and build relationships with key partners internally and externally to meet business needs
  • Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to find cost savings and collaborate to improve processes
  • Advise Credit Card Marketing specialist with internal creative and production teams to design, produce, and execute impactful marketing communications on-time and with accuracy
  • Collaborate extensively with our external bank partner to manage the credit marketing calendar, execute marketing campaigns, drive co-brand engagement, foster a productive working environment, and ensure adherence to legal and compliance standards
  • Partner with Finance & Accounting to ensure program is meeting or exceeding ROI and KPI measurements and ensuring invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner

  • Be a catalyst for change, setting a clear and comprehensive plan and held accountable for high caliber output, thought leadership and operational excellence
  • Champion diversity so guests, associates, partners, and communities feel connected to and reflected at Ulta Beauty
  • Inform and unify stakeholders on strategic direction for the program
  • Educate key stakeholders on best practices

ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or equivalent education or related experience
  • 5 years in retail marketing with expertise in product marketing strategies
  • Experience managing marketing projects and campaigns (digital/print)
  • Experience in retail and/or credit marketing (co-brand / private label)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • In-depth analytical skills and business analysis
  • A high level of accountability and strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative nature, with an unquestionable ability to lead
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven abilities to:
    • Work at both the tactical and strategic level
    • Generate effective marketing programs that produce results
    • Lead multi-functional teams using strong interpersonal and judgment skills to influence both internal and external partners
    • Drive process improvement and successful project execution
    • Establish, track, and analyze key performance metrics, and make necessary changes to ensure achievement of goals  
    • Manage to budgets and partner to forecast KPI’s and expense
    • Develop, build and manage relationships with partners
    • Be a subject matter expert on credit and loyalty marketing

The pay range for this position is $88,200.00 - $120,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
