Corporate Communications Specialist

The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Corporate Communications Specialist. The Corporate Communications Specialist plays a key role in managing Ulteig’s internal and external communications strategies to ensure employees are engaged and informed, as well as upholding the company’s brand and preserving its reputation. The Corporate Communications Specialist must be creative and enjoy working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Required skills include strong writing, editing, proofreading and the creative use of communications channels. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications and will support both internal and external Corporate Communications projects and initiatives.  

What You’ll Do

• Leverage creativity to create compelling content; write, edit and publish internal and external communications such as corporate messages, intranet postings/articles, blog postings, as well as press releases/announcements, website content and social media posts to a diverse audience; adopt and maintain Ulteig’s corporate “tone of voice,” writing standards and brand standards 
• Support the Corporate Communications Manager in internal communication initiatives, including
  • Updating and maintaining content on corporate intranet identifying and implementing technology improvements, in partnership with IT, to enhance employee communications 
  • Assisting with content development and execution of quarterly employee town halls, including PowerPoint slide development  
• Support communication of company-wide meetings: meeting set-up, sending email invitations and post-meeting coordination 
• Support Ulteig’s thought leadership program by developing content and researching opportunities in partnership with internal SME’s, agency partners, and others 
• Support content development and execution of new and/or alternative communication channels (i.e. video, digital signage, employee newsletters) 
• Monitor and measure effectiveness of communications initiatives using the department’s technology and tools 
• Assist the Associate Director of Corporate Communications with executive writing and communications, as needed 
  
  

What We Expect from You

• Undergraduate or master’s degree in English, communications, journalism, public relations or related field 
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public relations or marketing communications 
• Must possess high level of understanding of the fundamental tenets of quality communication in a corporate setting 
• Editorial and written communications skills in a corporate setting (Writing test/samples required)
• Proficiency in MS Office (including PowerPoint and SharePoint)
• Preferred proficiency in Adobe Suite, Clipchamp (or another basic video editing tool)
• Ability to travel up to 10%
• Must have a valid driver’s license, and insurable driving record

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $87,600 - $118,500
* Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role
