Nurse Aide RN Instructor

We are looking for a Nurse Aide Instructor to join our team and lead the educational activities and academic nurse aide program for our current and future caregiver cohorts at New York Health Care School! The Instructor we are looking for will be able to able to facilitate classes Monday - Thursday from 9am- 12pm.

The Nurse Aide Instructor responsibilities include teaching nursing students, reviewing educational material, and documenting the progress of students throughout the year. Ultimately, you will work with nursing students to ensure they receive the training and education they need to excel in their field after graduation.

• Teach the school curricula approved by the Education Department in its designated and approved language
• Prepare teaching plans based on the content of topics and skills practice;
• Provide theory and practical instruction to the students;
• Develop and strategize class schedule to meet students' learning needs;
• Facilitate and improve current course programs;
• Prepare testing materials to evaluate students’ performance;
• Assist in translating the curriculum, course work, power point presentation, quizzes and examinations in another proficient language
• Help create and translate curricula and teaching plan in another language other than English as applicable.
• Assess student’s academic progress and conduct appropriate intervention, as necessary.
• Comply with other Instructor responsibilities as drafted by the Education Department such as class attendance etc.
• Educate technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments.

• Available Monday- Thursday from 9am-12noon
• Must possess a Nursing certification and has direct patient care experience
• Proven work experience as a Nurse Educator or similar role (preferred) but not required
• A working knowledge of the theories of education and learning to design curricula
• Current working knowledge of clinical procedures and protocols
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills
