The Role And What You’ll Do
The Media Services Coordinator is responsible for the preservation of content in a variety of formats and to maintain sufficient space on our storage volumes.
- Import completed content masters and raw media onto our Data Asset Management system.
- Send and receive hard drives containing raw footage to external clients and partners.
- Ensure that all assets and documents are saved in our archive system (LTO tapes).
- Transcode high-res media to a variety of formats.
- Retrieve content from the archives as needed.
- Process broadcast and specialty footage from the live events.
- Maintain sufficient space on SAN storage volumes.
- Maintain database of items within archive.
- Learn new platforms as in-house Media Asset Management tools expand.
- High School GED, or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premier Pro and Avid non-linear editing systems.
- Knowledge of Vantage media processing software.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud preferred.
- Knowledge of tape-based workflows a plus.
- Knowledge of digital media assets and file formats required
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent attention to small details.
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent decision-making ability.
- Knowledge of UFC historical information helpful.
- Ability to work other hours such as swing shift, graveyard shift, and weekends.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, and ability to learn other basic computer programs.
