The Role And What You’ll Do
UFC is seeking a highly skilled, creative Social Video Editor to bring to life our vision. As an Editor, you will be working exclusively with the digital media teams and producers to create engaging and creative content that plays across all digital platforms.
This position owns the bulk of digital video output from planning and editing video, to delivering assets to stakeholders. The individual who fills this role has an expert level of understanding Adobe Premiere Pro (or comparable editing software) and must be able to work in a collaborative space while also thriving independently to complete projects on deadline. - Ability to edit long-form and short-form content for digital platforms, but with the potential for linear distribution.
- Creates roughly twenty to thirty-five pieces of video content on a week-to-week basis formatted for various social media platforms.
- Creates compelling content as assigned, but also able to work on spur of the moment projects.
- Ensures that high production values and standards are maintained across all platforms.
- Provides remote editing coverage of UFC events.
- Can identify trending social media content and produces relevant UFC edits that encapsulates those trends on a weekly basis.
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
- Has excellent project management skills and can communicate work effectively to stakeholders.
- Provides general sound design and color correction.
- Organizes and manage media (raw footage, final edits, etc.) to integrate into UFC’s production systems and flow.
- Participates in the upkeep and ideation of new editing equipment or software that would help elevate the brand.
- Experience shooting with modern DSLR video cameras is a plus.
- Knowledge in social media analytics and content performance is a plus
- Is responsible for project management and tracking of deliverables for stakeholders
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years editing experience or demonstratable equivalent of short form and longform content across Social Media, Broadcast, or other distribution platform.
- Portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of latest editing techniques and video trends.
- High proficiency in HD workflow, Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar editing software) with a working understanding of After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Hardworking, focused, and creative with a proactive approach.
- Receptive to notes and feedback throughout the editing process.
- Excellent time management while meeting assigned deadlines.
- Proficiency in motion graphics a plus.
- A passion for or knowledge of UFC also a plus.
