We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and assemble precision tools, dies, and fixtures according to specifications.
- Operate machinery such as lathes, milling machines, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machines.
- Measure and inspect components using micrometers and other precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for tool assembly or repair.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tools or dies during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool performance and efficiency.
- Set up and ensure tool and dye running correctly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes including lathe operation, electrical discharge machining, and stamping press operation.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in the fabrication and assembly of tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and technologies related to tool making.
