Primary Purpose : The Roll Off Drivers primary purpose, under the supervision of the Operations Manager, will be driving heavy vehicles, collaborating with dispatcher, discarding collected materials, hauling of large green waste and other debris. Essential Functions Long-distance drivingCommunicating and coordinating with dispatchersObeying and following applicable traffic lawsSecuring cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicleMounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truckMaintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulationsEnsuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before drivingPlanning routes and meeting delivery schedulesComplying with truck driving rules and regulationsReporting defects, accidents and violationsPerforming daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)Loading and unloading box trucks with forklifts and pallet jacksInteracting with customers in a professional mannerPerforming pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reportsRecording cargo deliveriesVerifying loads for accuracyTruck Driver CDL A or B Local Delivery Able to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our truck at a high levelNavigate through driveways and other various customer jobsite locations.Able to work various shifts including early morning and weekends when scheduledKnowledge of dump sites on O`ahu such as HPower, PVT, Waimanalo GulchKnowledge of quarry sites on O`ahuKnowledge of O`ahu highways and roadsFollow and maintain all safety measures where adhered to according to company policy and procedures
