Landscaping Crew Leader @Ultimate Innovations- Ko'Olina OAHU

Primary Purpose: Under the direction of the supervisor, the Crew Leader will be responsible for leading the maintenance team. The landscape must be free of weeds, pests, and rubbish. The irrigation system must be in working condition. Build a strong customer base by providing high quality and friendly service. Must be sure company standards, procedures and safety are followed at all times.

Essential Functions

• Lead, supervise, and manage jobs.
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are running properly, clean and neat.
• Mow grass and groundcovers as directed.
• Edge and trim lawns, hedges and ground covers.
• Trim low tree branches, fronds, and limbs.
• Assist with irrigation checks or repairs.
• Keep property free from unwanted vines and weeds.
• Pull and remove weeds from the landscape - by the root.
• Drive crew to and from job sites.
• Inspect and clean equipment on a daily basis.
• Wash and clean vehicles inside and out every Friday.
• Perform shop duties as assigned by the Account Supervisor and Operations Manager.
• Perform other related duties as may be required or assigned.

Working Conditions: Work outdoors in all types of weather and many different types of conditions such as: dusty, hot, muddy, level properties, and steep hillside properties. Frequent use of a variety of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.
Equipment Used: Push mower, riding mower, large walk behind mower, weedwhacker, edger, hedge trimmer, chain saws, blowers, pole pruner, and various types of hand tools.

Work Hours: Hours varies, Sunday – Saturdays, some holidays and emergencies or as scheduled.

Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands: Requires frequent lifting of at least 50 lbs. Requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment. Requires operating power equipment which is heavy and loud.

Skills/Knowledge: Must know how to operate machinery, be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including safety rules of operating equipment. Must have strong decision making and good supervisory skills. Good communication skills; verbally and written, required.

Requirements: Must have current Hawaii Driver License and a clean Abstract of Traffic Record.

Experience: 12 months landscape maintenance experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.
