What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Ops Leader position at Ultimate Innovations Inc?
The Regional Operations Leader (ROL) for Hawaii drives consistent organizational systems and operational playbooks across the region, through training, regular assistance and problem solving, and relentless follow-up. The ROL partners with the Region Executive Vice President (EVP), functional leaders (i.e. Fleet and Procurement), Regional Admin / Controllers and Regional HR leaders, along with the Operations Leaders (BM, AM, PM) in the rollout of new playbooks, systems, and development or improvement of processes. This role combines strategic vision with hands-on indirect leadership, developing regular reporting, fostering data-driven culture, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders. You will uphold the company's standards of quality and professionalism.
- Operational Leadership
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the operations team, ensuring effective implementation of plans.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Implement and promote a strong safety culture throughout the operations department.
- Develop and maintain effective risk management practices to mitigate operational risks.
- Systems Implementation
- Implement, and optimize systems, platforms, and technologies already in use (e.g. Aspire, Inova, Fleetio, T-Mobile, Comdata), and act as a key stakeholder for the operations team in evaluating, and launching new systems (e.g. Telematics, data analytics like Power BI, etc.)
- Stay updated on trends and emerging technologies in Business Intelligence and analytics.
- Partner with system owners / administrators on systems implementations, rollouts or refinements.
- Act as a partner to the EVP and an advocate for the Operations teams to prioritize and create rollout plans, follow-up cadences and training
- Strategic Process Architect / Design
- Working with other Systems Leaders, design systems processes that simplify work at the Branch level, improve visibility and analytics regionally and organizationally
- Collaborate with executives and department leaders to prioritize process initiatives, and act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment.
- Develop / fine-tune business / market specific processes as needed.
- Data Cleaning
- Identify and fix inaccurate, incomplete, or irrelevant data in operational systems.
- Identify errors: Find incorrect, corrupted, or missing data
- Remove or replace: Delete, modify, or replace the affected data
- Fix formatting: Correct the format of the data
- Remove duplicates: Identify and remove any duplicate information
- Add details: Add more details to the data
- Cross-check: Cross-check the information for accuracy
- Teach teams to decrease cleaning needs.
- Analytics and Reporting
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Partners with departments (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
