What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Ultimate Linings LLC?
- Purchasing Controls.
o Manage and execute all direct and indirect purchases as assigned and approved
o Monitor and assist in establishing inventory levels according to system trigger points to ensure proper stock levels
o Communicate any supply issues to the appropriate departments for proper planning and advisement to customers
o Identify areas of improvement, and report them to the Procurement Manager
- Cash Flow
o Ensure purchase orders and deliveries are executed to schedule, minimizing on-hand inventory
o All direct materials to be purchased from approved suppliers/manufacturers according to the quarterly purchase plan
- Communication
o Communicate across departments to facilitate quick resolution to issues
o Work closely with production planning and toll vendors in regard to supply
o Plan and monitor bulk material deliveries in accordance with stated goals
o Ability to lead projects and facilitate meetings involving cross-functional teams to achieve a stated goal
- Order fulfillment
o Communicate with Sales and OMS concerning supply delays and delivery estimates for back-ordered items
o Advise on any contingency opportunities for supply diversity
- Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership
