What You'll Do:
Functional:
- Develop and Implement User Interfaces: Transform UX mockups into production-ready code and writes computer code (Javascript).
- Maintain and Enhance Websites: Optimize for performance, stability, accessibility, and lead conversion.
- Migrate Legacy Sites: Assist in transitioning legacy WordPress sites to modern web solutions.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of best practices and trends in web development and marketing technology.
- Ensure Website Stability: Write unit and end-to-end tests.
- Adhere to Compliance Requirements: Ensure adherence to all federal and state compliance requirements, including those from the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, and internal UMA policies.
- Communicate Compliance Requirements: Inform students and staff about compliance requirements, escalating any concerns to the Compliance department as needed.
- Collaborate and Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support the institution's goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Senior role that applies advanced knowledge of job area (typically obtained through post-secondary education and work experience).
- Manages projects/processes, works independently with limited supervision.
- Coaches and reviews the work of proficient and entry-level professionals.
- Handles difficult and complex problems.
- Desire for growth and professional development.
- Proficiency with Astro, Gatsby, or other static-site generators.
- Expertise with TypeScript.
- Experience with end-to-end testing tools.
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follow all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
