What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager in Training position at Ultimate Shine Car Wash?
Essential Functions
- Successfully complete training program by engaging in the development plan and demonstrating competencies of a future Site Manager.
- Assist the Site Manager in growing membership sales and meeting overall sales goals for the site.
- Represent as manager on duty in the absence of Site Manager, to include site open and closing procedures.
- Assist the Site Manager in car wash site financial accounting, invoicing, labor, and reconciling and depositing cash.
- Ensure proper inventory of chemicals, office supplies, and uniforms are kept in stock.
- Communicate daily with Site Manager regarding any concerns/issues and answer questions.
- Assess, communicate, and resolve vehicle damage complaints.
- Maintain an understanding of how site equipment works; perform maintenance on car wash equipment and troubleshoot inoperable equipment on site.
- Recommend to the Site Manager decisions to hire, discipline, or manage job performance of team members and support staff.
- Satisfactorily resolve customer and team member complaints, including partnering with Human Resources.
- Oversee safety of employees and car wash site and respond to safety incidents appropriately.
- Demonstrate professionalism and respectful communication at all times.
- Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures, including escalating matters that may violate company policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous sales or leadership experience.
- Ability to display excellent customer service skills and professionalism.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50lbs, and operate in a fast-moving environment with or without accommodation.
- Flexible availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work in an outdoor climate during seasonal weather conditions.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Able to pass a contingent background screening.
