Lifeguard and Swim Instructor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor & lifeguard to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of varying skill levels, while fostering a positive and encouraging environment.

Duties

• Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each participant.
• Ensure the safety of all swimmers by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
• Provide excellent guest services by being approachable, friendly, and responsive to participants' needs.
• Perform lifeguard duties as needed, including monitoring pool activities and responding to emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool area, including performing pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning and chemical balancing.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
• Assist with heavy lifting related to pool equipment or supplies as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in swim instruction or related field preferred.
• Certification in Lifeguard Training, First Aid, and CPR is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of swim techniques and safety practices.
• Ability to provide excellent guest services with strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with pool maintenance and cleaning is a plus.
• Must be physically fit to perform duties that may include heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or swimming.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to promoting a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all participants.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal, Temporary, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
