Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an enriching summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will lead activities, provide guidance, and foster a sense of community among campers while promoting personal growth and teamwork.
Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities.
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor adventures.
- Provide support and mentorship to campers, helping them develop new skills and confidence.
- Foster a positive camp culture that encourages inclusivity, respect, and teamwork.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized camp environment.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in childcare or youth programs is preferred (e.g., daycare, babysitting).
- Skills in sports coaching or early childhood education are highly desirable.
- Experience working with students or in a classroom management setting is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
- A passion for working with children in a camp setting is essential.
