Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Job Type: Full-Time Hourly (Permanent Role)
Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: 70k DOE
Job Summary:
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will lead a team responsible for the fabrication and bending of materials, including metals, sheet metal, and other structural materials. This role is crucial for overseeing the production process, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team involved in the fabrication and bending of metals and sheet metal for various structural and related products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and schematics to ensure the correct construction of specified metal structures and equipment.
- Collaborate with planning and design staff to ensure efficient production methods, tooling, and product design.
- Work with management, engineering, and other departments to discuss manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other factors to optimize production.
- Utilize statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing needs and potential.
- Coordinate required equipment shutdowns and startups, specifically for sheet metal installations, in collaboration with other departments.
- Provide direction, mentorship, and development to production personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Review and analyze work orders, production schedules, and charts to determine production requirements and evaluate current performance.
- Ensure all production processes comply with safety laws, regulations, and company safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Take an active role in process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the fabrication, metalworking, or structural manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience with the process of fabricating and bending metal, sheet metal, or structural products.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, work orders, and production processes.
- Ability to read and analyze charts, reports, and production schedules.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to health, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- A desire to grow within the company and take on future leadership roles.
- Prior experience with leadership, mentoring, and team management in a manufacturing environment preferred.
