Maintenance Apprentice- Electrical & Mechanical Opportunities
Location: Alton, IL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am-4:30pm
Pay: Starting at $21.97/hour with growth opportunities
What You'll Do:
Mechanical Apprentice:
- Assist with equipment repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance
- Learn to dismantle, rebuild, and troubleshoot mechanical systems
- Support welding, rigging, plumbing, and hydraulic maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Electrical Apprentice:
- Assist in the repair, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems
- Learn to troubleshoot circuits, motors, transformers, and control panels
- Use diagnostic tools and hand tools to service electrical components
- Support testing, wiring, and calibration of equipment
What We're Looking For:
§ Some hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance or working towards an A.S. degree or technical certification
§ Ability to learn on the job and work safely in an industrial setting
§ Basic understanding of tools, wiring diagrams, or blueprints (depending on role)
§ Strong attention to detail and willingness to grow your skills
§ Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs and work in various physical conditions
