Recording Specialist- Mortgage Industry

Position Title: Recording Specialist

Job Description:

The Recording Specialist reviews mortgage closing and title documents for compliance with county requirements and submits them for recording. A basic understanding of mortgage transactions and documents (e.g., mortgages, deeds, subordinations, assignments) is required.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread and audit recordable documents for submission.
• Process mortgage-related documents (assignments, deeds, releases, affidavits, etc.).
• Handle recording fees and document rejections/resubmissions.
• Assist with eRecording operations and support offshore teams as needed.
• Work with the team to fulfill urgent document requests.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 25 lbs.

Details:

• Pay: $17-18/hr.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Location: 100% in-office in Saint Paul
