Ultimate Staffing is seeking an organized and personable Administrative Assistant for a temporary 3-4 month role. This position supports a busy medical practice by ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional patient service, and managing scheduling and administrative tasks.
Physician Administrative Assistant (Temp Role: 3-4 Months)
Location: Main Office - Danbury, CT (Travel required to Southbury & Ridgefield)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $21-$23/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, consultations, and tests.
- Manage physician calendars, including professional meetings and surgical scheduling.
- Handle phone calls, route messages, and provide accurate information to patients.
- Verify insurance, collect co-pays, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Schedule surgical procedures, obtain pre-certifications, and provide pre-op instructions.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
- 2 years' experience in a physician's office (3 preferred) and 1 year in surgical scheduling.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (GE Centricity preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Pleasant demeanor and high level of professionalism.
