Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join a reputable manufacturing company in New Haven County. The HR Manager is responsible for developing and managing the HR function, supporting business growth, and fostering a strong workplace culture. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leadership, overseeing HR systems, employee development, compliance, recruitment, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and ensure efficient HR operations while aligning strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage HRIS, maintain accurate employee records, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and generate HR reports.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training programs, career development initiatives, and succession planning.
- Address workplace concerns, promote a positive culture, and implement policies that drive engagement and retention.
- Oversee performance evaluations, compensation strategies, and workforce planning.
- Identify training needs, coordinate professional development, and integrate employee skills within ERP systems.
- Develop and enforce HR policies that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership on staffing strategies to support operational needs and business growth.
- Track and analyze key HR data to support decision-making and optimize HR functions.
- Support payroll, benefits processing, and maintain HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Experience with payroll processing and HRIS/ERP systems (IFS, Oracle, Paychex, or ADP preferred).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Starting Salary: $90,000-100,000
