Ultimate Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Support Specialist to support our client, an agricultural organization. This role is responsible for supporting both hardware and software needs across the organization, including hardware setup, procurement, inventory management, and basic user support. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for helping others work more efficiently through technology.
Job Title: Technical Support Specialist/Manager
Location: Chesterfield, MO- On-site only
Status: Long-Term Contract, possibly Contract to Hire
Schedule: Mon - Fri Days
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000, negotiable based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
· Set up desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals for new and existing employees
· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues across multiple departments
· Order hardware, accessories, and software licenses in alignment with business needs
· Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records of hardware assets
· Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing
· Provide troubleshooting for commonly used applications and operating systems
· Assist with user access, installations, updates, and software onboarding
· Deliver training and documentation to end-users on new tools and systems
· Maintain internal documentation for support procedures and device setup processes
· Identify and recommend improvements to current workflows and support processes
· Install hardware and peripheral components as needed.
· Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems
· Administer and maintain email and antivirus systems
· Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, information security, and control structures.
· Verify application results by conducting system audits of implemented technologies.
· Produce detailed timelines and implement effective project control for each software release.
· Work closely with IT, HR, and Operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding
· Support company-wide technology initiatives and deployments as needed
Qualifications:
· 8- 10 years of experience in technical support or operations support role
· 8- 10 years of experience in IT or related field.
· Working knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and common software tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, ticketing systems)
· Basic understanding of IT inventory and procurement processes
· Experience with SharePoint is a must.
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 30 lbs) as needed
