Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist for their client's busy office located in beautiful Clearwater, Florida. This role is essential in helping the medical office run smoothly by scheduling appointments, greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, maintaining accounts and records, handling insurance and referrals, and performing other administrative tasks as needed. The Medical Front Desk Receptionist provides invaluable assistance to patients, doctors, office employees, and other individuals.
- Answer and screen telephone calls in a courteous manner, and record messages for physicians and other personnel.
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures according to established policies and procedures.
- Obtain accurate information from patients and ensure all registration forms are complete.
- Collect patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges on a daily basis.
- Verify account balances and provide information to patients regarding unpaid balances.
- File records in appropriate sections of patient charts.
- Prepare patient charts in advance.
- Maintain files and records in a confidential manner.
- Maintain organization and efficiency of the front office, including office supply inventory.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform other related duties as directed or assigned.
- High school diploma/GED required.
- 1 years experience in a medical front office.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records.
- Knowledge of referrals and insurance procedures.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be patient and personable.
Full-time shifts with start times available between 7 AM and 8 AM, Monday through Friday.
Competitive hourly pay ranging from $18 to $20.
The maximum pay for this position is $20, with a minimum of $18 per hour.
