Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer - $40.86 to $45.67 ($85K to $95K).
- SMT equipment experience, IPC standards, knowledge of PCB, etc.
SUMMARY
Ensures all processes, equipment and supporting systems operate to their maximum effectiveness, within specified safety and cost constraints, and that all products are of the desired quality. Determines and implements corrective actions to improve processes. Support SMT and Through Hole operation and provide technical support to resolve issues during assembly process.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in electronics / electrical engineering or related field.Minimum 7-10 years of experience manufacturing PCBAs, SMT processes, SMT programming, cables and sub-assemblies in contract manufacturing or similar environment.Military & Aerospace manufacturing experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Understand 6S and Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 a plus.RESPONSABILITIES
provide technical support for SMT process, through hole operations and conformal coating of PCB Assemblies.Support production and engineering departments in resolving problems that arise in the SMT assembly process line including solder paste printing, pick and place, reflow, solder paste inspection (SPI), x-ray inspection and automated optical inspection (AOI). Able to program and operate SMT, AOI, SPI, X-Ray equipments as needed.Work alongside the manufacturing trams to ensure that overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.Provide technical guidance and liaison to manufacturing and test engineering while assisting supervisors on new techniques to determine the cause of rejected products.Provide redlines and / or updates Manufacturing Work Instructions on the shop floor or in Aegis.Specifies all necessary special processes, equipment, and fixtures required for manufacturing assigned programs as needed for production and process improvement purposes.Continuously works to improve manufacturing methods, efficiency, and product quality.Assist in tool design when required to help support manufacturing by developing tooling concepts.Monitor quality discrepancies, identifies trends, and investigates problems and implements corrective actions.Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) for trends and process improvement.Provide labor cost estimates for quotation purposes.Review design documentation, materials, and designs for manufacturability (DFM process).Other duties as assigned by the manager.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
