SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst is responsible for the support of the post execution life cycle of trade activity. Additionally, this role will perform various operational duties with a focus on providing top level client service as part of the Middle Office trade services department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
TRADE OPERATIONS
- Ensures client trading activity is affirmed / confirmed through electronic platforms and if applicable with use of paper confirms.
- Identifies and resolves any transaction discrepancies with the client and the client's trade execution counterparties.
- Monitors the settlement lifecycle and liaisons with client's custodians and trading counterparties to resolve any trade mismatches and / or trade failures.
- Ensures client reporting and processing are both completed accurate and timely.
- Understands and processes activity within the established department guidelines.
- Appropriately escalates any issues to client or manager.
- Reviews and validates high-risk processes performed by the Middle Office team.
- Provides training to the Middle Office team on department workflow processes and ensures adherence to department guidelines.
OTHER DUTIES
Assists in the onboarding of new client relationships and portfolios.Participates in user acceptance testing, departmental documentation, and strategic initiatives of the department, as needed.WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Mentors associates through instruction, coaching, providing real-time on-the-job experiences, modeling effective practices, and advising on methods used.Day-to-day contact with clients, interacting with the individuals in their front office and counterparties.Contact as needed with clients regarding general information, resolution of issues, inquiries, or reporting requirements.Contact with members of team and internal teams regarding follow-up on inquiries, open workflow, etc.May perform other duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.2-3 years of experience in a related field.KNOWLEDGE
