Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications.

Position Description:
• Trouble shooting and solving problems on the chronic errors/trouble
• Find root cause analysis and reporting of major errors
• Monitor and ensure running machines continuously to reduce breakdown time
• Co-creation of documentation of the all the machines - creating and updating trouble shooting, work instructions, identifying problems, providing information about the course of the machine operation/maintenance during a shift and implementing preventive solutions
• Support for production and maintenance in solving technical problems
• Ensure compliance to safety and environmental regulations
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs
• Additional duties as assigned
Ultium Cells, LLC. 2025 Summer Internship Program begins on May 19th, 2025 with a 12-week minimum duration.
Qualifications:
We are seeking students who are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineer
High school diploma or GED required
Must be available to attend orientation on May 19th, 2025 (non-negotiable) and participate for the full 12-week minimum duration
