Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Grinder to join our team. The Grinder will be responsible for operating grinding machines to remove excess material, smooth surfaces, and ensure precision in metal components. The ideal candidate has experience with manual and/or CNC grinding equipment and follows safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate various grinding machines to grind metal parts to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Inspect finished workpieces to ensure they meet quality standards
- Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain precision
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on grinding equipment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in grinding operations
Skills
- Experience with manual or CNC grinding equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight tolerances
- Knowledge of workplace safety and machine maintenance procedures
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
