Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing quality care to patients, particularly in the fields of urgent care medicine and primary care medicine.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical histories.
- Provide medical administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing insurance information.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Support patient service initiatives by addressing patient inquiries and concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care within the hospital setting.
- Utilize coding systems for accurate documentation of patient information and treatments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Certification/Diploma as a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or EMT from an accredited program is required.
- Proficiency in medical administrative support systems and coding practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced urgent careg setting while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
