Job Summary
Ultra-Poly Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Plastics Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team. As a QA Technician, you will be responsible for performing various physical properties tests on finished compounds and plastic raw materials. Your tasks will include operating testing and processing equipment in accordance with internal standardized procedures, co-operating and communicating with all manufacturing departments, and maintaining the inventory of supplies needed for the QA office.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, knowledge of MS Office, and prior experience in plastics mechanical testing. You should be detail-oriented, able to read and follow manuals and procedures, and possess basic mathematical testing calculations skills. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in both hot and cold conditions.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include understanding and following company policies, practices, and procedures; setting up and operating analytical and processing/converting equipment in the QA Department area; collecting and evaluating samples from production to ensure product meets customer specifications; reporting results and findings promptly through emails and updating the internal QA interface system; interacting with production, packing, and logistics departments as needed; and performing troubleshooting and issue maintenance work orders as required.
